Accountability

Accountability is an important factor in maintaining strength and stability in both our personal lives and in the life of our local churches and ministries.

The Core Responsibility

At The Lord’s Barn Church, we believe that genuine accountability is a matter of the heart. Genuine accountability, is first of all being true to God, to oneself, to one’s family, and to the people we serve 2 Corinthians 8:21:. If one cannot be true in these areas, it is likely that any other form of accountability will not hold for long.

We endeavor to live by 2 Corinthians 6:3,4: “Giving no offence in anything, that the ministry be not blamed: But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God…”

Having said this, we also believe in setting and being yielded to appropriate accountability structures, so that there will be no room for any reproach being brought to the name of the Lord or His ministry.

Organizational Accountability

The Lord’s Barn Church is registered as a wholly Religious Trust in Bangalore, Karnataka, India and is registered under DARPAN.

The Lord’s Barn Church currently maintains a simple organizational structure with a team of Ministry Leaders responsible for various ministries and many volunteers working with the leadership of ministry leaders.

The Lord’s Barn Church maintains very minimal full-time salaried staff, while most of the ministries are carried out by believers who serve voluntarily.

Ministerial Accountability

The Lord’s Barn Church, Bangalore, India is not a denomination and is neither under the covering of a denominational body nor is it under the covering of any overseas ministry.

Ministerial accountability is established and maintained by:

1. Focusing on the heart of the matter as stated above. If this doesn’t work nothing else will!

2. Building and maintaining strong, meaningful relationships with mature ministers of God, both locally in the city of Bangalore and outside.

3. Submitting to one another in the fear of the Lord (Ephesians 5:21). No person, not even the Elders or ministry leaders, is above this rule.

Financial Accountability
